Today we listened to tree songs in class, describing relationships.
I am a Rock by Paul Simon
No Man is an Island by John Donne
You`ll Never Walk Alone by Rogers and Hammerstein
The person the song tells about tries to not connect with anyone. He is so afraid of loosing people that is important for him, that he just block them out. In the second paragraph he tells about how he has made walls over a long time that no one can penetrate. He compares himself with a rock or an island that fells no pain and never cries.
No Man is an Island
The first paragraph of the poem basically says that you are not alone. In the second paragraph it says that it matters if someone dies even dough they did not know each other because he is involved in mankind.
The song is about that after solving any problem you have it is something good waiting to happen. I think that the song is very motivating, and that is probably why Liverpool loves it so much.
